About this tool
Renders an STL model to a PNG image, with camera presets and an optional transparent background. Useful for a thumbnail in a print catalogue, an illustration in documentation, or a preview image for a listing.
How to use it
- 1Drop an .stl file.
- 2Choose a camera angle, isometric or straight on.
- 3Set the material colour, and turn the background off if you want transparency.
- 4Capture and download the PNG.
Good to know
Rendered with WebGL
Your graphics hardware does the work, so a dense mesh renders in about the time it takes to appear rather than being queued somewhere.
Transparency is per-pixel
With the background off, the PNG has a real alpha channel and composites cleanly over any colour. That is what you want for a catalogue page whose background you have not decided on yet.
